About the Role
Karma Nirvana is at the forefront of tackling Honour Based Abuse (HBA) and forced marriage across the UK. We operate the UK’s only dedicated National Honour Based Abuse Helpline, supporting victims, survivors, and professionals.
As a Helpline Call Handler, you will be the first point of contact for those at risk, providing a calm, empathetic, and informed voice. You will offer guidance, emotional support, and safety planning, working within a trauma-informed, victim-centred framework.
You will speak with:
Victims and survivors
Concerned friends or family members
Professionals seeking safeguarding advice
This is a frontline, life-saving role where you will make a real difference. The role is based in our Leeds office. Karma Nirvana is transitioning to a hybrid helpline model, so there may be future flexibility to work from home based on operational needs.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including those without prior specialist experience. If you have empathy, strong communication skills, and values that align with supporting survivors, we want to hear from you. Full training and development will be provided.
