Summary

Deputy Care Home Manager
Location: Tadworth

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum
Hours: 45 hours per week
Shifts: Combination of floor-based (7:30am–7:30pm) and supernumerary hours

Are you an experienced and motivated leader looking to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking a Deputy Manager to join our dedicated team in Tadworth, supporting the day-to-day running of our well-established care home specialising in Dementia, Mental Health conditions and Complex Needs.

This is a non-clinical role, ideal for a compassionate and organised individual with a strong background in care, team leadership, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

Split Role – Leadership & Hands-On Care

Supernumerary Duties (Flexible hours):

• Conduct audits and quality assurance checks
• Lead, support and develop the care team
• Support with recruitment, staff rotas and performance management
• Ensure compliance with CQC standards and internal policies
• Attend handovers regularly to maintain oversight and continuity
• Support the Home Manager with inspections and reports

On-the-Floor Duties (Shift pattern: 7:30am–7:30pm):

• Work as part of the care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
• Act as a role model and senior point of contact for staff on shift
• Respond to care needs, incidents, or issues that arise in real time
• Support with medication administration and documentation

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in a senior care or team leader role (Deputy Manager or similar)
• Strong understanding of CQC regulations and best practice in social care
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills
• A hands-on approach with the ability to manage, support and motivate others
• A genuine passion for providing exceptional care to residents
