Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our professional, collaborative, and student-focused Academic Services team at an exciting time. We play a key role in delivering Aston’s 2030 strategy, with a strong focus on service excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Our work supports students throughout their journey, ensuring accurate records, timely funding, and a seamless experience.

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join us as a Student Records and Funding Officer. In this role, you’ll take the lead on managing tuition fee processes, maintaining accurate student records, and administering key funding schemes—including US Federal Loans and UK student finance. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the University and external partners to ensure compliance, accuracy, and outstanding service delivery.

You’ll be responsible for setting up and maintaining tuition fee data in our student records system (SITS), raising invoices and credit notes, and supporting financial audits. You’ll also manage the end-to-end process for US Federal Loans, ensuring students receive the right advice and funding on time. In addition, you’ll support the administration of Student Loans Company (SLC) and SAAS payments, and help maintain the University’s academic course database.

This is a hands-on role that requires initiative, problem-solving skills, and a passion for getting things right. You’ll need to be confident working independently, but also enjoy being part of a supportive and collaborative team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to make a real difference to the student experience, we’d love to hear from you.
