Summary
Job objectives and responsibilities
-To support the MTMS Supervisor delivering sound business support, advice and assistance where required and the implementation of vehicle servicing and maintenance to ensure quality and compliance is achieved.
-Full co-ordination and administration supporting the MTMS supervisor in everyday duties including but not limited to data management on JAMES, vehicle maintenance, servicing and repair, workshop housekeeping, tool and equipment control.
-To ensure Mission Critical (MisCrit) levels are maintained and prioritised accordingly.
Main Duties
-Carry out maintenance, repair and servicing on the MT fleet under the direction of the MTMS Supervisor.
-Perform diagnosis of faults using specialist equipment, Laptops, and conduct repairs on specialist aircraft support equipment, in an efficient and timely manner.
-Use the JAMES data management system for forecasting and registering all work carried out on the fleet.
-Create demands for spares and replacement parts using military publications and military processes.
-Collection of data and compiling reports as necessary.
-Comply with the military paperwork requirements for all work and spares procurement.
-Ensure compliance with Quality and H&S processes in accordance with the company standing orders and processes laid down in military publications.
What we are looking for
-Good standard of education in HGV vehicle maintenance and associated engineering, holding NVQ/C&G Level 3 or equivalent.
-Diverse vehicle servicing skills.
-Experience on working with airside vehicles would be beneficial, ATLAS, Hi Lift, Hydrant refuller
-Previous experience of working in a MoD workshop environment or HGV focussed commercial Garage or servicing and repair facility.
-Able to apply Technical Engineering support in a way that delivers effective support to the MTMS Supervisor Manager.
-Diverse vehicle servicing skills.
-Good all round communication skills with employees and clients.
-Able to apply QSHE support in a way that delivers effective support to the QSHE Manager.
-Able to deal effectively with periods of intense activity.
-Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without supervision.

-Location Ascension Island, South Atlantic Ocean (ASCN 1ZZ)
-Employment Type Full-time, unaccompanied position
-Contract Duration 24 months
-Notice Period 2 months
-Competitive salary, site allowance 5%, tour bonus 10%
-80 days leave(excluding weekends), Entitled to Ascension Island Bank Holidays
-Flights provided, 4 leave periods (5 months on, 1 month off)
-Accommodation single quarters at Travellers Hill
-Meals 3 daily meals at the Combined Mess
-Corporate workwear and PPE provided
-Hours per week5 hours
-Must obtain MoD basic level security clearance, Ascension Island Government eVisa, medical and dental fitness certification
