Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Nurse to join our team at Queenswood. This pivotal role involves leading the running of the medical centre and overseeing the health and wellbeing of our students, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care in a supportive educational setting.

This is a Full-time, Permanent role, working term time only (34 weeks per year).

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the school nursing team to provide comprehensive health services to students.
- Conduct health assessments and develop individualised care plans for students.
- Provide first aid and emergency care as needed, ensuring a safe environment.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals to support student health needs.
- Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with health regulations.

Requirements

- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license in the UK.
- Experience in paediatric or adolescent healthcare is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a small team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a school environment.
