We're looking for a part-time security guard to join our team at Downham Health and Leisure Centre. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all staff and visitors. This role requires someone who is observant, reliable, and has excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
-Patrol the premises regularly to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
-Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to respond to potential threats or incidents.
-Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or disturbances, and provide assistance as needed.
-Enforce center policies and regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of all patrons.
-Write reports on daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, and unauthorized persons.
-Provide excellent customer service by assisting staff and visitors with inquiries and directions.
-Requirements
-A valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) license is essential.
-Previous experience in a security role is preferred, but not mandatory.
-Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to remain calm and act professionally in stressful situations.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A flexible schedule, as this is a part-time position that may include evenings and weekends upto 16 hours per week
