Summary

Senior Data Analyst

Hybrid, Birmingham (3 days per week in the office)

Competitive salary plus Car allowance + Pension

40 hours per week Monday – Friday

BCA Logistics is a key division of BCA and supports the broader Constellation group of businesses with logistics services, in addition to delivering single moves and inspections on behalf of leasing and finance companies.

The BCA Logistics Senior Data Analyst is a key role for the BCA Logistics Team. The role will be part of the central Decision Intelligence function and will sit within the Analysis & Insights team, working collaboratively with other data analysts whilst working directly with the BCAL business, providing Operational efficiency, quality and planning insights

Key Responsibilities


Provide stakeholders with reports and analysis to drive business performance and communicate findings with clear recommendations
Ensure that all reporting, analysis, and dashboards are optimised and are as efficient as possible throughout the entirety of the data flow
Gain a strong understanding of the BCAL business by engaging and building relationships with key stakeholders to identify how data and insights can support improved business performance
Support the Lead Data Analyst in managing and prioritisation of workload between longer term project work and short-term ad hoc requests
Build relationships and a strong understanding of the broader teams within Decision Intelligence e.g. Data Integration, Data Science and Reporting Services
Take ownership of continuous professional development & keep up with rapidly changing data industry trends
Collaborate with the wider Analysis & Insights team to share learnings and best practice and participate in team discussions and wider business projects
Produce and maintain Local Work Instructions for all reports produced to ensure business continuity


Key Skills


Expertise in using data to unlock business opportunities and drive impact to business revenue and profit
Strong analytical skills with the ability to tell stories with data and explain the rationale to stand behind recommendations
Experience in building relationships with stakeholders and developing a deep understanding of business needs
Entrepreneurial/ growth mind-set person capable of handling multiple competing priorities, ready to work both autonomously and within a team
Experience in developing data analysis solutions and insight from scratch
Experience in working with and joining together a variety in quality of datasets
Experience of using SQL to extract data from data warehouses
Experience with Python and tools like Databricks to enable predictive analytics
Strong understanding and ability to use Power BI, develop DAX, use Power Platform applications to support automation
Excellent communication skills, including the confidence to present to senior managers, including C-suite


Desirable Skills


Proven Data Analysis experience
Experience using DevOps
Numerate degree – Computing / Mathematics / Statistics
