About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is seeking a creative and compassionate Primary SEN Teacher to join a supportive SEN setting in Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with a range of additional needs, including autism spectrum condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and moderate to severe learning difficulties.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
Student Engagement: Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages participation
Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
Classroom Management: Maintain a positive atmosphere through effective behaviour management strategies
Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to promote student success
Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training to stay current with best practices in SEN education
Safeguarding: Uphold and implement safeguarding policies to ensure a safe and secure learning environment for all pupils

About You:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working in a primary setting, with a good understanding of SEN support strategies
Resilient, empathetic, and committed to inclusive education
Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
Desirable: Experience or training in Makaton, PECS, or TEACCH
To Be Eligible for This Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
