About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated SEN Class Teacher to join a warm and inclusive SEN school in Liverpool. This role involves working with pupils with a variety of complex needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, and moderate to severe learning difficulties.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs outlined in pupils Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum

Student Engagement: Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages participation

Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

Classroom Management: Maintain a positive atmosphere through effective behaviour management strategies

Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to promote student success

Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training to stay current with best practices in SEN education

Safeguarding: Uphold and implement safeguarding policies to ensure a safe and secure learning environment for all pupils

About You:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience working in SEN settings or with children with additional needs

Compassionate, adaptable, and proactive teaching approach

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Experience with or interest in approaches such as PECS, Makaton, or TEACCH is desirable

To Be Eligible for This Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:
Hold Right to Work in the UK

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
