Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Male PE to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young people, promote a healthy lifestyle, and encourage lifelong participation in sport.
As part of the PE department, you will deliver engaging lessons across a range of sports and activities, ensuring all students are challenged, supported, and motivated to achieve their best. You will contribute to the school's extracurricular sports programme and play an active role in developing competitive teams and inclusive activities.

Key Responsibilities
•
Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons to male students across KS3-KS4 (and KS5 where appropriate)
•
Promote participation, teamwork, and sportsmanship both in lessons and extracurricular activities
•
Organise and lead sports teams, fixtures, and school events
•
Assess, monitor, and track student progress in line with school policies
•
Create an inclusive environment where all students can achieve success in PE
•
Maintain high standards of behaviour, safety, and engagement in lessons
•
Collaborate with colleagues to develop the PE curriculum and share best practice
•
Contribute to the wider school community through events, activities, and enrichment programmes
Qualifications and Experience
•
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in PE, Sports Science, or a related subject
•
Experience teaching PE at secondary school level
•
Ability to coach a variety of sports and lead extracurricular activities
•
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
•
Strong organisational and communication abilities
•
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
•
A passion for physical activity, health, and wellbeing
