We have a fantastic opportunity at our service in Barnet, London, as we look for our next Team Leader!

This is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week, Sense are offering £14.59 per hour.

We are a small group of 4 flats in a cul de sac located in Barnet London. We support 16 people, I flat is single, the others are home to 4 - 6 people. The individuals we support are from 28 to 61 years old, most are fully mobile and are blind deaf with complex needs, with some behavior that challenges. The service takes pride in promoting independence, encouraging empowerment and community based activities and respecting and valuing the people we support.

You must also hold a Full UK driving license to provide transport for individuals at the service.

For this role you must have ability to produce clear written documents, and be computer literate on systems such as word, excel etc. You must either have or be willing to work towards Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent and have enthusiasm for personal development and attendance at internal training courses.

No two days will be the same

Supporting individuals / groups / teams within the home, center and community.
Providing a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
Delivering services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards.

For this role in Barnet, London you will require:
A full UK license and must be willing/able to drive our vehicles.
BSL Knowledge preferred.
Experience of mentoring and inducting staff, supporting staff through supervisions and creating development plans.
Experience in managing challenging behaviour.
Knowledge of Health and Safety issues.
Experience of liaison with community groups and other service providers.
Experience of implementing activity programmes with a strong emphasis on learning outcomes, in a variety of environments (pool, gym, kitchen, art room and community based activities)
