Summary
Exciting opportunity - part time
An innovative leader to champion and advance pelvic health care for the population of Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) and Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) is being sought.
The successful candidate will lead and support further development of the current pelvic heath service across the Group. In addition,they will lead and support the delivery of a system-wide perinatal pelvic health service, aligned with the standardised national specification under the NHS Long Term Plan and local maternity and neonatal system requirements.
This specialist post will oversee clinical leadership, service management, and advanced-level care across the Group’s pelvic health services. The successful candidate will:
• Lead and manage service delivery in line with national perinatal pelvic health specifications (PPHS).
• Provide expert clinical care, carry a caseload, and optimise multidisciplinary pathways.
• Train and develop pelvic health staff through education and mentorship.
• Influence strategic direction by responding to national initiatives and shaping professional standards.
• Collaborate with senior colleagues across NLAG, HUTH, and the Humber/North Yorkshire LMNS.
• Work flexibly across NLAG and HUTH sites (0.2 WTE NLAG, 0.4 WTE HUTH).

You will carry a clinical caseload and work at an advanced level of clinical practice as the lead pelvic health
physiotherapist. This includes optimising multi professional care and improving pathways of care through
direct clinical care and problem resolution. To provide robust clinical leadership to the teams delivering care
for these patients. This will be achieved through effective communication, influencing, motivating and
inspiring others to deliver high quality care. This includes responding to national initiatives and advising on
appropriate clinical and professional strategy relating to pelvic health physiotherapy practice.
You will work with senior colleagues in pelvic health across the Group (NLAG and HUTH) and other Trusts
within Humber and North Yorkshire..This includes acting as the clinical interface with the Clinical Service
Leads for both the medical aspects of pelvic health and the surgical aspects of pelvic health surgery;
leading Therapy Services coordination of complex cases and clinical pathway management in order that
patients are able to achieve their desired outcomes, and, to deliver good practice.
You will educate, train and develop physiotherapy staff and undergraduates in this specialty and to provide
assurance of competency. To train other health professionals in aspects of pelvic health care. To provide
expert clinical advice and guidance on a range of matters relating to pelvic health/ project delivery. This
includes service development, improvement initiatives and addressing clinical challenges.
You will ensure that the pelvic health service contributes appropriately to specialty key performance
indicators (KPIs), and to ensure that the Physiotherapy Pelvic Health service achieves KPIs that relate to
pelvic health services. To lead and support audit and research projects, and identify opportunities for
research in relation to Pelvic Health services in order to evaluate service delivery. To regularly review
clinical practice delivery in light of new models of care and clinical transformation programmes within NLAG
and HUTH and to identify new ways of working, this includes the advancement of clinical skills in this post
of self and others
