Summary
Black Care Plan are a small Airdrie based care team who support a 45-year-old autistic gentleman in his own home. We are currently looking to recruit an individual who can support our client in maintaining and improving his independence skills. We are looking for a support assistant with the following attributes.
The ability to communicate with tact and sensitivity.
The ability to remain calm under pressure.
A good listener who is patient
A happy “people person”
An honest person, who acts with integrity and goes above and beyond.
Willing to support with personal care, meal preparation, administering medication, social inclusion, shopping and daily household duties.
Based on the information provided, the job requires a 24-hour workweek consisting of one 24-hour shift from 12 PM to 12 PM the following day. During this shift, staff actively work with the client from 12 PM to midnight (12 hours), after which the client retires to bed. From midnight to 8 AM (8 hours), staff are on "sleepover cover," with a sleepover room provided.
Active work: 12 PM to 12 AM (12 hours)
Sleepover cover: 12 AM to 8 AM (8 hours)
Total shift duration: 24 hours
Workweek: 24 hours (1 shift per week)
Black Care Plan are dedicated to working with the one client.
Rate of Pay is set at an hourly rate of £12.60
Experience working within the care sector is preferred but not essential.
The successful candidates are required to obtain or update a Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) membership through Disclosure Scotland.
