About the Opportunity

We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a lively secondary school in Bradford starting in September 2025. This is a full-time role open to both experienced educators and newly qualified teachers (ECTs) who are committed to sparking a passion for English language and literature.

Requirements and Skills
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • A genuine passion for English language and literature.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Teach across Key Stage 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable).
  • Set high expectations for student achievement and behaviour.
  • Mark and assess student work in line with department policies, providing constructive feedback.
  • Monitor and track pupil achievement using data systems.
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and teaching resources.
  • Deliver engaging lessons that promote a love of reading and writing.
  • Use a range of strategies to support students with different learning needs.
  • Support the delivery of GCSE exam preparation and revision sessions.
