Summary
To support the management team in the day-to-day requirements of a TBC onsite contract working as part of a team in effectively managing client, temporary workers, and internal stakeholder relationships, to deliver a high level of service to both clients and temporary workers.
Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern primarily 0600 to 1800 with some flexibility to cover holidays and sickness. Hourly pay is £13.85 per hour with overtime at £20.78 per hour.
Client focused responsibilities:
* Proactively fulfil customer requirements
* Coordinate and/or deliver temporary worker site introductions/assessments
* Provide a check-in service ensuring all workers have arrived safely on site at the beginning of each shift start time, making replacements where required
* Administer time & attendance systems
* Liaise with your line manager to ensure the required numbers are being supplied, any shortfalls remedied
* Engage with all temporary workers and client managers by maintaining a daily shop floor presence
* Build and maintain strong rapports with all key influencers and stakeholders
* Work to a daily schedule within agreed timescales
* Ensure all customer data and worker records are updated daily and remain legally compliant
* Identify any areas that will 'improve efficiencies' and 'operational excellence' within the site
Management of Temporary Workers:
* Assisting the team in collating hours for weekly payroll processing within the given deadline
* Manage temporary workers holidays effectively
* Deal with temporary worker enquiries in an effective and timely manner
* Identify underperforming temporary workers to turnaround or replace
* Address and support performance and welfare related subjects with temporary workers
* Manage temporary workers sickness absence with the effective use of the absence management procedure
* Identify temporary workers within the onsite workforce, for any potential permanent roles with the client
Compliance:
* Be aware of any contractual/service level obligations and ensure these are being adhered to
* Escalate any potential risks or hazards observed immediately to line manager
* Manage accident reporting procedure
* Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures
* Control and manage all onsite assets and PPE stocks, including deduction processes
* Assist with maintaining eligibility to work checks
Recruitment:
* Fully understand the client's recruitment needs and ensure there is sufficient planning in place to satisfy the required volume and quality of new temporary workers
* Escalate any potential shortfalls in the current recruitment plan
* Continually attract sufficient candidates through various media, including advertising, social media, networking and word of mouth
* Review new starters/inductees and assess suitability at the start of the assignment
* Ensure reference checking is carried out in line with client requirements
