We're hiring experienced 7.5T Drivers to join our team in Preston for immediate starts in Lancaster.
- Operate a 7.5-ton vehicle to deliver goods to multiple customers on a scheduled route.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
- Plan routes to optimise delivery times while complying with legal driving hours and traffic regulations.
- Inspect the vehicle before and after trips to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately, including delivery notes, logs, and any necessary documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or issues.
- Report any incidents, vehicle defects, or delays promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle.
Requirements:
- Valid driving license for 7.5-ton vehicles (Class C1 or equivalent).
- Proven experience in multi-drop driving or delivery driving.
- Good knowledge of local roads and routes.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading and unloading goods.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
