This is not just another finance role — it’s a chance to step into a business that truly invests in its people, offering plenty of room for growth, career progression, and ongoing professional development.

Whether you are already a seasoned controller or a rising star ready for your next step, you’ll be joining an environment where training, mentorship, and support are at the heart of the culture.

A background in construction is beneficial, but for the right candidate with strong commercial instincts and a willingness to learn, full industry training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support system implementations to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.

  • Reconcile staff costs and track project profitability, delivering accurate analysis to inform business strategy.

  • Prepare and manage general management accounts, ensuring high levels of accuracy.

  • Collaborate closely with operational teams to translate financial data into actionable insights.

  • Uphold robust financial controls and compliance procedures.

    About You

    • Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

    • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and strong analytical skills.

    • Commercially astute with the confidence to influence and advise stakeholders.

    • Adaptable, proactive, and motivated to develop new skills.

    • Construction experience a plus — but not essential with the right mindset and willingness to learn.

      Why Join?

      • Clear pathways for career advancement within a growing business.

      • Comprehensive training and ongoing mentorship to help you thrive.

      • A supportive team culture where your contributions will be noticed and valued.

        Working Arrangements

        • Office-based in Chelmsford for the first six months to ensure in-depth onboarding.

        • Hybrid working available after onboarding period.

This is a rare opportunity to join a forward-thinking, supportive organisation where your career can truly flourish.
