Amore Complex Care have a rewarding, part-time position available supporting a young lady with autism whilst she studies at the University of Chester.

Role – Female Support Workers
Location- Chester
Salary - £12.75
Shifts – They are long day sleeps 8 am – 22:00 pm then a sleep shift

- Must have experience within health and social care settings
Meet the person you’ll be supporting:
What are my hobbies and interests? I love knitting, gardening, and accessing my local community. When I am at home, I really enjoy watching musicals.
What challenges do I have? I have autism, and some conditions which restrict my mobility, so I sometimes use a wheelchair. I can get anxious quite quickly and need support with this.
What am I proud of? I have passed my A Levels and will be attending Chester University, and would like my staff to support me with this.
How would I describe myself? I am caring, fun to spend time with, and energetic.
What type of person do I get on well with? I get on well with mature, outgoing people who can engage with me about my hobbies, interests, and aspirations.
MY TEAM
How many people support me at one time?I am supported by 1 staff member at all times.
What shift patterns do my team do? My team do 24 hour shifts, starting in the morning, sleeping over, and finishing 24hrs later. I currently do not need support at the weekend.
What are my team trained in? My team are trained in Administration of medication, in addition to Autism and Learning Disability training. My team also complete Amore Complex Care’s mandatory training.
Who we are looking for?
Someone who is a good communicator, to help with the service user's anxiety.
A good mentor, who can help teach this young person important life skills, and promote her independence.
Providing companionship during a transitional period in this person's life.
Ensuring the service user is safe during her university day.
Previous experience supporting someone with autism is desirable.

This role does not involve travel between multiple sites during one shift. Spend your whole shift with the person you support, making the biggest impact on their lives
As a company we are unable to offer sponsorship for overseas candidates. Applicants must have proof of right to work in the UK. It is a requirement to provide an overseas police check dated within the last 3 months of being in the UK; if you have been outside of the UK for longer than a year in the last 10 years.
