Join Our Moving Forward Team - Community Mental Health Support WorkerLocation: South Tyneside (Hybrid)Contract: Permanent, 30 hours per weekWe have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Moving Forward team, supporting people across South Tyneside.As a Community Mental Health Support Worker, you’ll use your skills, empathy, and understanding to make a real difference in people’s lives. You’ll listen actively, help individuals express their needs, set meaningful goals, and find solutions that work for them. Working alongside each person, you’ll help them build skills, confidence, and resilience so they can take part in activities that improve their mental health and wellbeing - and equip them to face future challenges.Your role will focus on:Supporting individuals to maintain good mental health and access the right support for their needsEncouraging personal growth and helping people work towards their long-term aspirationsDelivering services in line with our values of accountability, respect, excellence, innovation, and compassionAbout youWe’re looking for someone who has:Significant experience working 1:1 with people, including those with complex or enduring mental health needs, ideally in community-based settingsExperience in health, social care, or the voluntary/community sectorAn understanding of mental health issues, stigma, discrimination, and recovery approachesA proactive approach to improving services and trying new ways of workingStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levelsA collaborative, team-focused attitude and the ability to contribute constructivelyA willingness to develop your skills and make the most of personal growth opportunitiesWe are proud to have been recognised and certified as a Great Place to Work, which speaks volumes on how much we value our staff members.
