Summary
Personal Assistant for Mr. P.
Mr P is a 78-year-old deaf, blind and mute man living in the southside of Glasgow, and is looking for a Personal Assistant to help him with some day-to-day tasks to help him live independently.
He’s a happy-go-lucky guy who enjoys boxing, going to the gym and attending mass every week. He’s very chatty and particularly enjoys talking about football. Together, you could be visiting places such as ten-pin bowling or Top Golf, as well as the shops to help him find the items he’s looking for. You’ll basically be his eyes and ears to help him have an overall awareness of his surroundings. You may also need to occasionally help with some household tasks, such as preparing his dinner and tidying up.
It is important that you know hands-on British Sign Language and that you’re able to drive. If you are also someone who is upbeat, patient and encouraging then you could be a good match for Mr P. He is looking for someone who can help him be a bit more flexible with his day and who will generally be a positive presence in his life.
The job position is for 10 hours per week at £14.00 gross per hour. If you’re interested in making a difference, apply online today! For any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact GCIL with the reference GCIL.JP/LD/1.25.
