Summary

We are recruiting a Social Worker at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37
Contract Type: 1 x Full Time, Permanent / 1 x Full Time, Fixed Term Until 30th August 2026
Location: Tredomen / Hybrid

Team: Older People


This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.

We pay an attractive salary of £37,938 - £40,476 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

The successful applicant will be joining a well-established, person-centred, outcomes focused social work team.



You will provide a timely and responsive assessment care management service to older people with physical difficulties. They will also deliver an assessment care management service to adults aged over 65 with mental health issues, and younger people with dementia, who are considered to require care and support to maximise and maintain their independence and dignity.



For the role, we ask that you have:

A Diploma / Degree in Social Work or predecessor qualification
An understanding of the physical and emotional needs of Vulnerable Adults including older people and people with disabilities
Experience of assessment and care planning
