Are you a detailed-orientated Finance professional looking to grow your career whilst making a meaningful impact in your local community? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our busy and supportive Finance team that will help you develop your financial expertise.

Abbeycroft is a not-for-profit social enterprise and registered charity with a turnover of £11 million. We reinvest all profits into the services we provide, helping to improve the health and wellbeing of communities across Suffolk.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Assistant Management Accountant to join us. You’ll pay a key role in supporting the management accounts, budgeting and business development – ensuring accurate reporting and helping drive strategic decisions.

Rota: Monday - Friday. Hours of work are flexible and can be agreed upon discussion.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Support budget preparation, monitoring and variance analysis
• Maintain attendance data for leisure centres and community programmes
• Contribute to financial forecasting and business growth analysis
• Help with audits and general finance admin tasks

Requirements:
• Previous experience in a Finance role is preferable
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Capable of working collaboratively as well as independently

Qualifications:
• AAT Level 2 qualification and working towards Level 3 (essential) but it would be highly desirable to have the AAT Level 4 qualification (or working towards this)
