About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and student-centred Personal Development Tutor to join our team. In this vital role, you will deliver a dynamic personal development curriculum to groups of further education students and conduct regular 1:1 progress reviews to support their academic, personal, and professional growth. Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging and impactful tutorial sessions that support students’ personal development and wellbeing.
Conduct regular 1:1 progress reviews, offering guidance and challenge to help students reach their full potential.
Support students with CV writing, job applications, and preparation for employment.
Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance, and engagement.
Identify and refer any barriers to learning or wellbeing concerns.
Collaborate with the wider tutorial and student experience team to ensure consistency and excellence in delivery.
Maintain accurate and timely student records using ProMonitor.
What We’re Looking For
4 GCSEs at grade A–C (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
Level 3 qualification (preferably in a related subject).
Experience working with young people aged 14+ in an educational or support setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to deliver engaging group sessions and conduct supportive 1:1 reviews.
High level of organisation and IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and Teams.
A positive, proactive, and student-centred approach.
Ability to travel between college sites.Status: PermanentHours: 37 hours per week and Term-time only. Working weeks TBC but will be roughly 37 weeks.Salary: £26,209 per annum pro rata
