Role Purpose: You'll coach and motivate people facing barriers to work, building their confidence and skills to secure and sustain employment while hitting performance targets.

Success in this role looks like: Consistently achieving job start and sustainment targets, building strong employer relationships, and seeing participants progress into meaningful, lasting work.

Your Role: What You'll Achieve

At Get Set UK, we believe in giving people the tools and support to unlock their potential, and that includes our own team. As an Employment Advisor, you'll join a high-performing, mission-led team committed to making a measurable difference in communities.

This is a hands-on, results-focused role where you'll coach participants individually, prepare them for opportunities, and work closely with employers to create sustainable job outcomes.

Here's how you'll make an impact:

Strategic Direction

  • Manage your caseload to achieve monthly job start and sustainment targets.
  • Plan and prioritise activity based on data insights and programme KPIs.

Deliver Results

  • Drive participants into employment through tailored coaching, CV support, job search guidance, and interview preparation.
  • Proactively match participants to roles, making high-quality placements that stick.

People & Communication

  • Build trust and rapport with diverse participants, coaching them through challenges and change.
  • Engage with employers to understand needs and promote candidates confidently.

Get It Right

  • Maintain accurate records, comply with safeguarding and programme processes.
  • Stay informed about labour market trends and training options.

Business Acumen

  • Collaborate with partners and employers to create opportunities and expand our reach.
  • Spot commercial opportunities to grow impact and delivery success.

This is a target-driven role - success is measured by the number of participants you help into sustainable jobs. You'll have the tools, support, and autonomy to achieve, and we'll celebrate every milestone you hit.

Who You Are

You might already work in employment support or recruitment, but you could also come from retail, hospitality, customer service, or any sector where you've led teams, solved problems, and delivered results.

What matters most is that you've shown leadership, accountability, and a track record of achieving goals. You're great at motivating others, building relationships, and keeping organised while delivering on targets.

You understand that our customers expect us to model employability, so you lead by example.

Specifically, you bring:

  • Experience taking responsibility for performance or team success (e.g., supervising staff, managing a section or store, driving sales or service outcomes).

  • Strong coaching and motivational skills - you inspire confidence and action.

  • Great organisational skills - you manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication - you engage participants, employers, and stakeholders with ease.

  • Resilience and adaptability - you navigate challenges with a solutions mindset.

  • Knowledge of local labour markets or employer engagement experience (desirable but not essential).
