Summary

Ensure the smooth day to day operational running of the Practice, supporting both clinical and non-clinical staff in meeting patient needs and ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities. Oversee the daily management of reception and administrative staff, ensuring efficient workflow. Identify and implement operational efficiencies and improvements across the Practice. Take an active role in recruitment, inductions and reviews. Leading the management of the clinical system, always ensuring IT security and IG compliance and responding to and resolving all local IT issues. Actively encouraging and promoting the use of patient online services. Updating and acting as the focal point for the practice website and social media sites. Managing capacity and access, utilising all tools available to monitor and meet demand. Lead the management of the Patient Participation Group. Act as a point of contact for the Practice Manager in their absence. Promote and build a team environment capable of providing high quality administrative services to clinical colleagues and patients. Ensure that the Practice procedures for locking down the Practice rooms are followed at the end of each day. To provide a first point of contact with patients aggrieved or wishing to complain ensuring enquires / complaints are dealt with/investigated in the appropriate manner following the Practice Complaints Procedure. To highlight/escalate any material workflow backlogs in the Practice clinical system. To conduct annual appraisals and organise appropriate training to meet individual and Practice needs. To support with facilities management contractors with regards to the Practices occupation of the building. To support Health & Safety regulatory requirements ensuring compliance throughout the practice. Supporting our digital transformation Supporting the wider team in CQC preparedness.
