Summary

Fire Safety Planner

Salary: £28,766 - £30,280

As a Fire Safety Planner, you will work within the newly formed Access Team to ensure our buildings are kept compliant with statutory requirements. The role is to plan and schedule a Fire Risk Assessment programme using data held on our properties within our compliance software (RiskBase). You will be liaising with Local Housing Managers, residents, building managers and other key stakeholders, providing excellent customer service, and playing a key role in keeping the business compliant with regulations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling planned and responsive appointments for operatives across the housing stock - utilising multiple works management systems
  • Utilising common sense approach to planning regional appointments and ensuring travel is kept to a minimum.
  • Handling telephone and email enquiries from Local Housing Managers, residents, building managers and other key stakeholders
  • Making proactive outbound telephone calls - persuading and influencing tenants to arrange and keep appointments
  • Liaising with and directing operatives, providing them with key information from the MTVH database
  • Sharing ideas and insight in order to continually improve the service function, including increasing the percentage of appointments made/appointments kept and buildings/properties accessed
  • Maintaining records and logs of contact with Local Housing Managers, residents, building managers and other key stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and reviewing the schedule to ensure Fire Risk Assessments do not go overdue.
  • Ensuring all data is accurate.
  • Helping to provide weekly/monthly reports on performance
  • Monitoring the accreditation of the Risk Assessors
