We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner with a Level 3 qualification to join our vibrant nursery, catering for 9 months – 4 years. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can thrive and develop holistically.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Childcare and Development:
• Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery.
• Plan, implement and evaluate a range of stimulating activities that promote the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of each child.
• Ensure that all children’s needs are met and that they are supported in reaching their full potential.
2. Health and Safety:
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures.
3. Partnership with Parents:
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Communicate effectively with parents about their child’s development, daily activities and any concerns.
• Encourage parental involvement in nursery activities and events.
4. Record keeping:
• Maintain accurate records of each child’s progress and development.
• Complete observations and assessments in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS)
• Contribute to the development of individual learning plans for children.
5. Team Collaboration:
• Work collaboratively with the nursery team to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
• Participate in regular team meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
• Support and mentor less experienced staff members and apprentices.
6. Professional development:
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
• Keep up-to-date with current childcare practices and legislation.
• Reflect on and improve own practice.
