Summary
Learning Support Assistant position to start in September 2025 to work with an amazing team supporting primary age children with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday 8am-3:30pm, with the opportunity to progress to a permanent position with school.
About the Role:
- Support individual and small groups of pupils with SEMH needs in and out of the classroom
- Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive behaviour
- Work in partnership with class teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies
- Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
- Build trusted relationships that empower pupils to reach their potential
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with children with SEMH needs (school-based or other relevant settings)
- Demonstrates empathy, patience, and emotional intelligence
- Is calm under pressure and can confidently manage challenging behaviour
- Communicates effectively with both children and adults
- Has a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
