An exciting opportunity has arisen within the District Nurse Administration Team, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our friendly team as a Clerical Officer in our East team (based at Tang Hall Clinic).

The post holder will work alongside the Admin Assistant to provide admin support to the District Nursing teams, ensuring that visits and appointments are made at the request of other care providers, taking and communicating requests and contributing to an efficient and effective administration service within a busy environment.

A large part of the role will involve stock ordering for the nursing teams and to manage stock rotation of supplies in line with current guidelines. You will ensure that DN patient records are kept fully up to date, communicate with patients at the request of the nursing team and archive patient records.

This role will require good IT skills, to include knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word/Excel/Outlook. You will need to have excellent communication skills as you will be required to liaise with a wide range of professionals and patients. You must be effective in prioritising workloads with a flexible and patient-centred approach. You must have the proven ability to work independently using your own initiative as well as part of a team.

Previous experience of NHS systems and Systm1 would be advantageous but not essential as full, comprehensive training will be given.
