Summary
We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Solicitor or CILEx qualified lawyer to join a Private Client team in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will have approximately five years' post-qualification experience and a strong background in probate and inheritance tax matters.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a varied and intellectually stimulating caseload, providing expert advice to individuals and families on:
- Probate and estate administration
- Inheritance tax planning and mitigation
- Complex estate structures and tax-efficient strategies
- Wills, trusts, and succession planning
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on all aspects of probate and inheritance tax
- Managing estate administration from initial instruction through to final distribution
- Providing strategic tax planning advice tailored to individual client circumstances
- Drafting wills, trust documentation, and related instruments
- Liaising with HMRC and other relevant bodies
- Maintaining high standards of client care and professional conduct
Candidate Requirements:
- Solicitor or CILEx qualified lawyer with circa 5 years' PQE
- Demonstrable experience in probate, inheritance tax, and estate planning
- Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
- Based within a commutable distance of Sheffield
