A forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Hounslow is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their staff team for the 2025–26 academic year.

The Role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students across a range of year groups and subject areas, depending on your degree specialism (e.g., English, Maths, Science, Humanities, MFL).
Your duties will include:
• Supporting students with 1:1 and small group interventions, particularly those who are underperforming or need exam support
• Assisting in the delivery of classroom lessons alongside experienced subject teachers
• Helping plan, resource and deliver revision, literacy, and numeracy catch-up sessions
• Working with the SEN and pastoral teams to support students with specific learning needs
• Providing enrichment through clubs, mentoring or subject-specific initiatives
You’ll gain real classroom exposure, professional mentoring, and the kind of day-to-day insight that’s hard to find outside of direct experience.
Who We're Looking For:
• A recent Russell Group graduate (2:1 or above preferred)
• Strong academic subject knowledge in one or more of the core or facilitating subjects
• A clear interest in pursuing teacher training in the near future
• Excellent communication, resilience, and adaptability
• Experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, outreach) is highly desirable but not essential
What’s On Offer:
• £25,000 – £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Full-time, Monday–Friday, term-time only
• Fixed-term contract (September 2025 – July 2026)
