Summary
Sales Administrator
Location: Newcastle-Under-Lyme
Hours: Monday to Friday, full time
Salary: up to £32,000 per annum
The role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Administrator to support our clients' growing sales team and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The role involves handling customer enquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders, maintaining customer records, and providing general administrative support. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and communication skills, good IT proficiency, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Respond to customer enquiries via telephone, email, and shared inbox in a timely and professional manner
Generate quotations for existing customers
Create new customer accounts in Prof.IT as required
Accurately load new orders into Prof.IT
Monitor and review order progress to ensure successful and timely completion
Conduct telesales activity, includingroutine calls to existing customersand targeted calls to sales prospects
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to support sales objectives
Promote the full product services and services, includingtrademarked productsand added-value services such as machining
Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management, within your capabilities
Comply with all company procedures and Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
Support continuous improvement initiatives, including NCRs and customer surveys
Key Requirements:
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships
Confident verbal and written communication skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
Knowledge of internal systems such as Prof.IT, Microsoft Office, and Salesforce
Familiarity with company procedures and internal workflows
Understanding of corrosion-resistant alloys, including stainless steel, nickel, and copper alloys
Awareness of the stockholding market structure and key industry competitors
