Summary


Adferiad Recovery delivers a flexible and coordinated response to the exceptional circumstances faced by people with co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions and related issues. Vulnerable people facing complex life challenges need consistent and seamless support to ensure they remain engaged with vital health and wellbeing services – and to prevent them becoming disenfranchised and isolated.

Role Purpose:

The provision of specifying ‘Male applicants only’ for this vacancy is justified under the exceptions set out in the Equality Act 2010, under schedule 9, part 1: occupational Requirements. The service provided by Adferiad requires a male Floating Support Worker to achieve legitimate aims.
Adferiad provides a floating support service for individuals living in the County of Vale of Glamorgan who have long term, enduring mental illnesses who require housing-related support. The project is funded by the Vale of Glamorgan County Council Supporting Team. The focus of the project is to develop or sustain an individual’s capacity to live in their own accommodation and achieve increasing levels of independence. Adferiad staff support referred individuals with housing-related support needs either to support them to find a new home or enabling individuals to live independently in their own home.
Under the direction of the Senior Service Manager and Senior Support Worker, you will work as part of the team and lone work to deliver support to the clients, providing high quality and effective housing related support service. You will utilise person centred approaches to set goals, review and develop support plans that best meets the individual’s needs, which focusses on people’s strengths and sets goals of sustain their tenancies and live independently.
