Summary
The CAMHS HEAD 2 HEAD team are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and committed CAMHSSenior Mental Health Practitioner to work within the team (e.g. clinical nurse specialist or equivalent). Applicants should hold a professional qualification and have experience of working with young people who display harmful sexual behaviour and an interest in the needs of those who are involved in the Youth Justice system, with co -existing substance use difficulties and young people presenting with First Onset Psychosis and At Risk Mental State.
Please note applicants willbe requiredto pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
The post requires the person to have experience in working with young people with Harmful Sexual Behaviour. The main duties of the role include undertaking comprehensive assessment and intervention of young people and their families as well as offering consultation to the network around HSB cases and delivering HSB training to professionals. They will be required to be an integral part of the MDT.

To provide specialist assessments and interventions within a variety of community settings to a diverse and challenging group of young people and their families, who display Harmful Sexual Behaviour.
The team also work with young people who present with significant mental health difficulties and who are open to the Youth Justice Service, have co -existing substance use needs and those who present with First Episode Psychosis & At Risk Mental State.
The Head2Head team is a small, specialist CAMHS team who use an assertive outreach philosophy to engage young people and their families. We are passionate about reducing stigma and offering assessments and interventions which are tailored to the needs of our client group.
This role will have significant involvement working with young people with harmful sexual behaviour (HSB) and their families, completing specialist assessments including neurodiversity, risk and safety planning. The role will also include offering consultation and training to the network around HSB.
