Salary: UH8 £46,049 to £58,225 pa by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience
Annual Leave: 35 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year
Location: College Lane Campus, University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield.

Main duties and responsibilities
You will participate in teaching, assessment and module management on the degree apprenticeship programme delivered by the Social Work team and will have the opportunity to contribute to other related social work courses/programmes. For this role, you will participate, as required, in the development and review of the programmes including inter-professional developments across the School.
You will contribute to the interview admissions team for the undergraduate and pre-qualifying MSc Social Work programmes including Open Days which may be in the evenings or weekends.
In addition to this, you will contribute to the ongoing evaluation and review of the School’s activities. You will also undertake and contribute to Social Work research and contribute to the administration of the School by undertaking additional roles, such as being a module lead and joining or leading teams involved in activities such as admissions, timetabling or programme support.
Skill and experience required
You will be an experienced Social Worker and have recent academic and/or practice experience in the UK.
You will be expected to have a sustained interest in and knowledge of contemporary Social Work practice. You should have good oral and written communication skills as well as an ability to work without close supervision and work effectively as part of a team. In this role, you will need to be adaptable to change and be flexible with team and workload requirements.
Qualifications required
For this role, you must be educated with a minimum of an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
You will hold a master’s degree or close to completion of a Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant subject or demonstrate substantial social work experience. You must be registered with the SWE.
