Summary

Job Overview

The Recruitment Consultant – Clinical will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing qualified healthcare professionals into clinical roles across NHS trusts, private healthcare providers, and care institutions. You will work in a fast-paced, compliance-focused environment and play a vital role in addressing staffing shortages with speed and accuracy.

This position is ideal for a motivated recruiter looking to grow within the healthcare recruitment sector, with full support from senior leadership, compliance, and business development teams.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end recruitment for clinical vacancies including nurses, healthcare assistants, support workers, and allied health professionals.

Source candidates through job boards, CV databases, LinkedIn, referrals, and outreach campaigns.

Conduct candidate screening, interviews, and pre-employment checks in line with NHS and framework standards.

Liaise with clients to understand role requirements, booking shifts, and permanent placements.

Ensure full compliance with documentation requirements including Right to Work, DBS, NMC/GMC registration, and mandatory training.

Maintain accurate records of candidate activity using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

Manage availability rosters, shift bookings, and contract placements.

Provide candidates with timely updates, onboarding guidance, and after-placement support.

Collaborate with compliance officers, payroll, and business development teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in healthcare or clinical recruitment (agency or in-house).

Understanding of NHS frameworks, clinical compliance, and healthcare staffing requirements.

Familiarity with ATS platforms, job boards, and healthcare-specific sourcing channels.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in managing compliance files.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional phone and email manner.

Proven ability to manage high-volume recruitment in a fast-paced environment.

Resilient, results-driven, and eager to learn.

Diploma or degree in HR, Business, Healthcare, or related field (preferred but not essential).
