Summary
Process and triage self help requests. Assist building custodians by providing guidance on delivering self help. Where work is required for the WOMBATs assistance, notify the WOMBATs supervisor and advise the requestor of timelines for delivery.
Act as the primary VEPC holder for WOMBATs, procuring tools and equipment for the WOMBATs and the delivery of Self Help within the parameters of the VEPC agreement. Ensure that 3 quotes have been obtained for each purchase and all purchases are ratified and accounted for.
Act as the Responsible person for WOMBATs and Waste risk assessments (RA), draft and review risk assessments for the WOMBATs and Waste Team. Review RA’s for station self help and authorise prior to individuals proceeding with task.
To act as the responsible person for the ordering of skips and oversee the regular exchange of skips for the Waste Facility.
Ensure COSHH assessments are carried out for any hazardous materials and these materials are safely stored.
They must ensure that all Health and Safety and Environmental regulations included in References D and E are complied with.
They must ensure that products are disposed of through the appropriate contractor as authorised by the DSA, HQ Air Cmd contracts branch or locally managed contracts.
They must ensure that Waste Contractors hold the appropriate Waste licences for the relevant products.
The strict maintenance of all waste registers and disposal records pertaining to waste that are required to be archived.
Remote working within this role is something that can be discussed at interview stages or with your future line manager if you are found successful.
