Join Bield Housing & Care at Oakburn Day Park as a Domestic Assistant. Our wonderful team provide high quality service for physically or mentally frail older people living in the area. We aim to maximise the independent living skills of older people while creating and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.

About the Role
As a Domestic Assistant you will be undertaking a range of duties, assisting in the provision of high quality services for Older People and maintenance of a comfortable and safe environment for service users. You will work as part of the team ensuring a high quality care and support with a focus on ensuring standards of hygiene and cleanliness meet regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Working closely and flexibly with service users to assist them to undertake domestic tasks or to undertake the tasks for them (dependent on their ability and wishes and in accordance with guidance from senior staff). (This applies in Care Homes or integrated services only and not in Day Care Services)
Ensuring all flats (Care Homes only) and communal areas within the building are cleaned to a high standard.
Support senior staff by managing cleaning supplies, liaising with Infection Control, and completing cleaning records.
Communicate important information regarding health, safety, and building security.
Collaborate positively with colleagues, relatives, and professionals, always keeping service users at the heart of what you do.
Provide support to colleagues with laundry duties, dining room service, and meal preparation as needed, ensuring a smooth and hygienic operation throughout the day.
Participate in supervision, training, and personal development activities.

Hours: 16 per week: Mondays - Thursdays 2pm - 5pm and Fridays 1pm - 5pm
