At Edge Group Scotland, we’re passionate about providing meaningful, person-centred support to young autistic adults and those with other additional support needs (ASN). This time, we’re looking for something a little different — we're seeking Support Workers with skills in horticulture and/or cookery, to help us expand the way we deliver our indoor day services.
Whether you’re experienced in social care or have transferable skills from hospitality, education, environmental or horticultural roles, we want to hear from you.
Why Join Us?
Horticulture & Cookery Focus: We’re looking for people who can share their skills in commercial cookery or horticulture (indoors or greenhouse-based)! You’ll support young adults to grow their independence through hands-on, meaningful activities.
Full Training Provided: You don’t need to come from a care background — if you bring your skills, enthusiasm and values, we’ll train you in everything else.
Team Culture: Work with a dedicated, values-driven team that believes in the power of compassion, creativity and person-centred practice.
We’re Looking for Individuals Who:
Share our values of honesty, integrity and inclusion.
Have skills and/or qualifications in horticulture or cookery:
HND/Degree in Horticulture, Botany, Environmental Science
SVQ Level 3 or above / HNC/HND in Professional Cookery
Can drive (a clean, current driving licence is essential).
Are IT confident across various platforms.
Are enthusiastic, reliable, and proactive team players.

Work collaboratively with clients to create and follow support plans.
Build positive relationships with clients, families, and professionals.
Promote personal independence and encourage positive risk-taking.
Stay calm and solution-focused under pressure.
