Summary

St Alban’s Catholic Primary School is dedicated to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Pastoral Support Worker to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our students.
As a Pastoral Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting children with social and emotional needs. You will work closely with the Leadership Team, engage with families, and ensure that children can access education effectively. Your responsibilities will include delivering a range of programmes tailored to meet pupil needs and collaborating with teachers to support children within the classroom.
Contract: Term Time Only - 39 weeks per yearContracted Hours: Total of 7.20 hours per week (days and times to be agreed at interview)
Salary Scale: PS7 £32,512 FTE, (actual/pro-rata salary £5,594.39pa). Please note: the annual salary is pending the support staff pay award.The successful candidate will:
have experience working directly with children and families, with a particular focus on parenting support, behaviour management and practical interventions.
be able to identify safeguarding concerns and make appropriate referrals, maintaining strong knowledge of child protection procedures.
work effectively with external agencies and professionals to ensure families receive timely and appropriate support.
communicate clearly and sensitively with children, parents, staff, and professionals, representing the school in a positive and professional manner.
have a flexible and proactive attitude and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and families.
