Summary

Cygnet Healthcare is looking for Bank Learning Disabilities Support Workers to join our team working at Oakwood Gardens

Oakwood Gardens has 9 self-contained bungalows supporting adults over the age of 18 with learning difficulties & autism located in Wombourne.

Day Shifts: 07:45 am till 08:00 pm

Nights Shifts: 07:45 pm till 08:00 am

Oakwood Gardens is a supported living service in Wombourne, which provides nine tenancies, the service empowers individuals with complex mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviours to live more independently. The service offers personalised and tailored support in a private space, allowing the people we support to hold their own tenancy with a registered housing association.

**Must have a minimum of 12 months experience working with Learning Disabilities /Challenging Behaviour**

About the Role...

  • Helping to promote resident independence
  • Supporting residents in all aspects of day-to-day life, encouraging and promoting independence
  • Monitoring of residents and reporting concerns to senior team members or managers
  • Going out with residents into the local community to attend events, parks, restaurants and local activities
  • Completing resident’s records to help monitor health
