Job Description

Based at Kinloch Care Centre, Carnoustie, working throughout the Angus area. An alternate Angus base may be considered.

This job is Workstyle 4 – Hybrid

You will have the opportunity to benefit from our flexible and agile working practices. This means you will work from a variety of locations, working from council buildings, working in service user’s locations and site visits and you can work from home to best suit your work, meetings and collaboration.

You will work 36.25 hours per week (Monday to Friday). There is also the opportunity to work within our flexible working scheme.

Are you an Occupational Therapist who would like to explore a rewarding career experience in a community setting?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join Angus Health and Social Care Partnership’s Occupational Therapy Service. Working alongside a team of Occupational Therapists and OT Assistants you will consider how the Occupational Therapy Service can assist individuals over and under 65, including children, living in the community who are affected by disability/illness. You will consider how people can be enabled to maximise their safety and independence and live the life they want, as well as helping to deliver safe and sustainable methods of care.

You will be expected to work as part of a team in ensuring effective delivery of care and a seamless approach to practice. You will be expected to provide information, professional advice and recommendations to our internal and external customers and work within operational guidance and policies. You will be expected to undertake assessments in relation to the provision of equipment and adaptations solutions as well as assessments in relation to manual handling and the safe delivery of care by family and formal carers.

You should be able to work independently and as part of a team and have an excellent understanding of clinical practice in the community and the standards expected by the Royal College of Occupational Therapy. You will work closely with colleagues and contractors to ensure that agreed outcomes for clients are realised timeously.

You will be a qualified Occupational Therapist with post qualifying experience, holding a current HCPC registration and a driver’s licence (with access to a vehicle). You must have the ability to become a member of the PVG scheme.
