Sales Assistant | March, Cambridgeshire | Full Time | Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm plus rotating Saturday mornings 7:30 am – 12:00 pm |£28,500 - £30,000 + Overtime

• IT-savvy with excellent computer skills
• Holds at least GCSEs in English and Maths
• Possesses a clean UK driving licence
• Willing to work extended hours when required
• Knowledgeable about tools, fixings, and the trades industry (a big plus!)
• Aware of health and safety regulations in a retail/warehouse environment

What will your role look like?

• Serving customers at the trade counter and over the phone
• Processing cash and card payments and handling customer enquiries via phone, email, and in-store
• Receiving deliveries and updating stock records
• Managing customer orders, including packing for collection or delivery
• Picking, packing, and delivering customer orders
• Maintaining warehouse stock levels and cleanliness
• Stocktaking, rotating stock, and ensuring accurate inventory
• Merchandising and ensuring the sales floor is clean, organised, and well-stocked
• Monitoring inventory levels and reordering low stock
• Assisting with deliveries and customer site visits as needed
• Supporting management to improve profitability through sales and cost control
• Ensuring a safe store environment and assisting with store admin and cash handling
• Working collaboratively with the team to resolve customer issues or escalate when necessary
• Performing cleaning duties and keeping the workspace tidy and safe
