Job Title: Lab Support StewardSalary: £24,570 per annumPosition Type: PermanentType of Employment: Full TimeHours: 37.5 hours per weekLocation: GSK, Harmire Road, Barnard Castle, County Durham, England, DL12 8DT
We are looking for a Lab Support Steward to join a well-established team and support our client in an integrated service.
Your key responsibilities will include
-Glassware Management - washing and restocking areas
-Lab Fume cupboard checks - ensuring airflows are compliant with procedures
-Waste Management - removal of contaminated and hazardous waste
-Disinfecting areas - rotating disinfectants in line with procedures
-General Media preparation support.
To be successful in this role, you should be educated to GCSE/NAT level in English, Maths and a Science (preferably in biology), excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work methodically to strict processes and procedures including the ALCOA principles (attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original & accurate) You should also be able to communicate effectively and foster good working relationships with a wide range of client, internal and external roles.
This is a mobile role that requires some physical lifting, so being physically fit is essential.
