Summary
Personal Assistants
Brian is a cheerful and determined man who values his independence and is looking for 2x personal assistants (PAs) to help live life to the fullest.
Brian is very well travelled, with a passion about politics and disability rights and issues. He enjoys being out in the community and engaging in his drama group with a particular focus on disability rights. Brian also enjoys football, reading and listening to music and watching TV is his down time.
This role is based in Knightswood so it’s important you can travel to and from the area reliably. This role is for 42 hours per week split between 2x PAs @ £12.60 per hour with flexibility depending on Brian’s needs.
Responsibilities for a PAs include support with personal care e.g. supporting him in his ceiling hoist, support with showering and dressing, meal preparation, light housework and getting his paper from local shop.
If you’re a positive, punctual and reliable person with a good sense of humour you might be the perfect fit for this role.
Previous experience working with individuals with Becker Muscular Dystrophy as well as can be helpful, but a caring nature is most important. Being hoist trained and moving and handling trained are preferred but not essential requirements. Training will be provided to successful candidates where required
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
Please apply today if you’re interested in becoming a PA for Brian.
