This role involves one-to-one support within her home and in the community. Your support will be key in helping her participate in the things she enjoys, while also ensuring her safety and promoting her independence.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting with all personal care needs, including showering, dressing, and prompting or assisting with toileting
Supporting with medication, when required
Ensuring she is never left alone, indoors or outdoors
Helping with money handling in restaurants/fast food places, promoting healthy choices
Taking part in and encouraging participation in activities like the gym, Zumba, dance, swimming, and other leisure or educational events
Supporting with general mobility, including walking, exercising, road safety and maintaining balance where needed
Assisting with tidying up after meals or snacks, including in the car
Encouraging outings to explore new things and places
Supporting with daily living tasks to promote independence
About You:
You’ll need to have experience in the care sector, including supporting adults with autism and physical disabilities, and providing personal care.
