Summary

We're looking for an Automotive Technician Apprentice to join our Transportation Team based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.



Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £19,500



How does an apprenticeship work?

As an Automotive Technician Apprentice you'll be enrolled onto a Level 3 apprenticeship in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Transportation team to inspect, maintain, and repair a variety of heavy, medium, and light vehicles, including trucks and trailers.

Your day to day will include:

-Assisting senior technicians with vehicle maintenance and repairs.

-Performing scheduled servicing and MOT preparation.

-Using diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and resolve complex faults.

-Communicating effectively with colleagues and customers about vehicle issues

-Maintaining accurate records of work performed



What are we looking for?

The role of Automotive Technician Apprentice is great for you if are:

-18 years of age and above due to the need to stay away for college

-Maths and English at level 4 or above

-Willingness to learn

-An interest in how vehicles work and the ability to learn mechanical principles

-Driving Licence is preferable
