Contract: Bank Salary: £12.21 Per Hour Shift Type: Days Contracted hours: 0Located in the beautiful town of Crieff, Oakbank Care Home is a brand-new, purpose-built luxury care home offering personalised Residential, Dementia, Nursing, Palliative, and Respite care for up to 70 residents.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our kitchen team on a flexible zero hours contract. Whether you have previous kitchen experience or are looking to start a new role supporting food preparation in a caring environment, this position offers a great way to contribute to the wellbeing of our residents.
What We Offer
- £12.21 per hour
- Flexible zero hours contract
- Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
What You Will Do
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the culinary team by assisting with food preparation, ensuring meals are ready efficiently and to a high standard. You will maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen, including equipment and appliances. You will receive, check, and store deliveries safely, following food safety and health and safety guidelines at all times. Your role will be vital in helping provide a safe, clean, and well-organised kitchen environment, contributing to a positive dining experience for residents.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from those with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic. Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and handling is desirable
- Good organisational and communication skills
- A positive team player with a professional and courteous manner
