Summary
Personal Assistant
Ali is an outgoing man, with a good personality. He’s very easy to get on with and enjoys a chat and a laugh.
Ali is also a football fan who loves to get out and about, especially enjoying going to chess club, eating out and being out in the sunshine.
He’s looking for a personal assistant who’s sociable like himself, and will feel confident supporting him out and about in his community in the southside of Glasgow.
A typical day might be to have a leisurely morning with some assistance to have breakfast and shower, have a chat and catch up, maybe play some internet chess. Then sometimes go out for lunch to local cafes or pubs, or to visit friends. Ali also likes trips down the coast in the summer.
As Ali’s PA, you’ll provide support with basic cooking, food prep and hygiene, and assist in feeding Ali his meals. You’ll also assist with personal care and dressing tasks, although Ali can use the toilet independently when at home. There are also household tasks including laundry and ironing. Your role will also include offering companionship, helping Ali to continue enjoying his interests and independence.
Ali is looking for someone who is honest and will have patience, particularly when he needs a bit of time to express his speech and to be understood. As well as being a fun and friendly person.
The position is based in the Shawlands area of Glasgow, and the role requires 23 hours across a week, working days and hours are negotiable. A driving license is preferable but not essential.
Pay rate is £13.60 per hour.
