Join a busy Oswestry workshop offering £19.21 per hour, Monday to Friday rotating shifts, plus overtime paid at time and a half on Saturdays. Great training, progression, and benefits included.
Location: Oswestry
Salary: £19.21 per hour
Shifts: Monday to Friday – 06:00 to 14:30 and 13:30 to 22:00 (weekly rotation)
Overtime: Alternate Saturday mornings paid at 1.5x

We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or Commercial Vehicle Fitter to join a busy, well-equipped workshop in Oswestry. This role offers a supportive, forward-thinking environment, working Monday to Friday on rotating shifts with optional Saturday overtime, plus excellent training and career development.
Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Fitter
Service and repair HGVs to DVSA and manufacturer standards
Diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and mechanical expertise
Work closely with parts to ensure efficient repairs
Complete all job cards and paperwork accurately
Follow workshop health and safety procedures at all times
Maintain a clean, safe, and team-focused workshop environment
Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Fitter
Essential
Experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles
Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ or City & Guilds)
Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
Willingness to work rotating early and late shifts
Desirable
HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
IRTEC accreditation
Experience in a dealership or fleet workshop environment
